Comparing options? vs Concrete & Pavers vs Epoxy

ResinGem is a resin-bound surfacing system that uses polyurethane as the binder and premium marble pebbles as the aggregate—built for long-term outdoor use with a refined, seamless finish.

What ResinGem is NOT
  • Not epoxy pebble. Epoxy is typically not ideal for long-term UV exposure outdoors.
  • Not a coating / paint. ResinGem is a full resin-bound surface system, not a roll-on layer.
  • Not loose gravel. The aggregate is locked in place by the binder for a stable, clean surface.

1) What is ResinGem resin bound?

Two parts—one surface. Polyurethane delivers performance. Marble delivers breathtaking beauty.

Who it’s for
  • Homeowners who want luxury curb appeal without constant upkeep.
  • Families who value comfort (barefoot friendly) and clean drainage.
  • Property owners who want a system engineered for outdoor UV exposure.
Who it’s not for
  • Projects focused on the lowest upfront price above all else.
  • Surfaces requiring major structural correction without base prep.
  • Anyone looking for a quick “paint-on” refresh—ResinGem is not a coating.

2) Why polyurethane?

Polyurethane is widely used in marine environments for UV stability, weather resistance, and chemical tolerance. That same performance translates powerfully to outdoor paving.

MARINE-GRADE PERFORMANCE

Built to handle sun, water, and harsh conditions.

Marine usage is a strong real-world signal of outdoor suitability—materials that survive salt, sun, and water exposure are typically better prepared for long-term exterior installations.

ResinGem advantages vs concrete & pavers

Simple blocks. One image = one key benefit. (Comparing? See the full page below.)

AESTHETICS

Seamless, decorative, and endlessly customizable.

A refined finish with flexible color, texture, and pattern options—designed to elevate curb appeal and match any style.

ResinGem durable outdoor surface designed for long service life and low maintenance
DURABLE • LOW MAINTENANCE

Resists cracking. Stays easy to clean.

Designed to handle wear, traffic, and weather extremes. Easy upkeep with sweeping or occasional jet washing. Service life is site-dependent and base-dependent.

Permeable ResinGem surface allowing water drainage to reduce puddles and runoff
PERMEABILITY

No puddles. Less stain. Less ice risk.

Water drains through the surface—reducing runoff and helping prevent puddles. Often supports LID (Low Impact Development) style drainage compliance where applicable.

Textured ResinGem finish providing slip resistance for pedestrians and vehicles
SAFETY

Slip-resistant underfoot.

The textured stone finish provides excellent traction—especially useful for pool decks, patios, walkways, and driveways.

ResinGem surface comfort for bare feet and pets in summer sunlight
COMFORT

Friendlier for pets and bare feet.

In summer sun, ResinGem can feel cooler than traditional concrete—helping outdoor spaces feel more comfortable.

UV-stable color (vs epoxy pebble)

Keep the look long-term—without a routine recoating cycle.

UV STABILITY

Resists yellowing and discoloration under sunlight.

ResinGem’s clear polyurethane binder is designed for outdoor UV exposure and long-term color stability. Epoxy pebble systems are commonly maintained with periodic recoating outdoors to help preserve appearance.
